Transportation Guide for 2nd DIKU-IST WS Participants

This is a transportation guide to Shonan Village Center where DIKU-IST workshop will be held and Fuji Institute of Education and Training (FujiKen) where FLOPS workshop will be held. For some participants, we prepared a transportation guide to Earth Simulator Center. Note that every estimated time does not include layovers.

To Shonan Village Center

From Narita Airport (150-180min.)

1. To JR Zushi Sta. (two options)
   • By JR Sobu-Yokosuka Line Rapid Train('Airport Narita'). Get off at Zushi Sta. (150min. from Narita Airport).
   • By JR Narita Express. Change at Yokohama Sta. to JR Yokosuka Line. Get off at Zushi Sta. (120min. from Narita Airport).
2. From JR Zushi Sta.

   Take Keikyu Bus (no.16). Get off at Shonan Kokusaimura Center Mae (30min. from Zushi Sta.).

From Haneda Airport (90min.)

1. To Keikyu Shin-Zushi Sta.

   By Keikyu Haneda Airport Line. Change at Keikyu Kamata Sta. to a train heading for Yokohama. Get off at Shin-Zushi Sta. (60min. from Haneda Airport).

2. From Keikyu Shin-Zushi Sta.

   Take Keikyu Bus (no.16) for Shonan Village. Get off at Shonan Kokusaimura Center Mae (30min. from Shin-Zushi Sta.).

From Tokyo (80-90min.)

1. To JR Zushi Sta. or Keikyu Shin-Zushi Sta.
   • From JR Tokyo Sta.

     By JR Yokosuka Line. Get off at Zushi Sta. (60min. from Tokyo Sta.).

   • From JR Shinjuku Sta.

     By JR Shonan-Shinjuku Line. Get off at Zushi Sta. (60min. from Shinjuku Sta.).

   • From JR Shinagawa Sta.

     By Keihin Kyuko (Keikyu) Line. Get off at Shin-Zushi Sta. (50min. from Shinagawa Sta.).

2. From JR Zushi Sta. or Keikyu Shin-Zushi Sta.

   Take Keikyu Bus (no.16). Get off at Shonan Kokusaimura Center Mae (30min. from Zushi/Shin-Zushi Sta.).

To Fuji Susono

From Shonan Village Center (150-160min.)

1. To JR Zushi Sta.

   Take Keikyu Bus (no.16). Get off at JR Zushi Sta. (30min. from Shonan Village Center)

2. From JR Zushi Sta. to JR Mishima Sta.

   Take a train on JR Yokosuka Line. Change at Ofuna Sta. to Tokaido Line. You may have a rapid train 'Shonan Liner' or 'Acty' to Kohzu, Odawara or Atami Sta. with no extra charge. Anyway, you may have to change at Kohzu, Odawara or Atami Sta. to next Tokaido Line. Get off Mishima Sta. (90-100min. from JR Zushi Sta.)

3. From JR Mishima Sta.
   • FLOPS will provide a free shuttle bus from Mishima Sta. to FujiKen about 4 pm. and 6 pm. on Apr 23. (30min. from JR Mishima Sta.)

From JR Tokyo Sta. (90 min.)

1. To JR Mishima Sta.

   By Tokaido-Shinkansen. Get off at Mishima Sta. Note that there exist 3 kinds of Tokaido-Shinkansen, Kodama, Hikari and Nozomi. Kodama stops at every station in the Shinkansen line. Some Hikari stop at Mishima Sta. but most Hikari pass through Mishima. Any Nozomi never stops at Mishima Sta. FLOPS participants must use Kodama or appropriate Hikari. (60min. from JR Tokyo Sta.)

2. From JR Mishima Sta.
   • FLOPS will provide a free shuttle bus from Mishima Sta. to FujiKen about 4 pm. and 6 pm. on Apr 23. (30min. from JR Mishima Sta.)

To Earth Simulator Center

From Shonan Village Center (70min.)

1. To Keikyu Shin-Zushi Sta.

   Take Keikyu Bus (no.16). Get off at Keikyu Shin-Zushi Sta. (30min. from Shonan Village Center)

2. From Keikyu Shin-Zushi Sta. to Keikyu Sugita Sta.

   Take a train on Keikyu Zushi Line (for Kawasaki, Shinagawa or Haneda Airport). Get off at Sugita Sta. (20min. from Shin-Zushi Sta.)

3. From Keikyu Sugita Sta.

   20min. walk from Sugita Sta. (Here is a map.)

From Fuji Susono (140-150min.)

1. To JR Mishima Sta.

   Please ask FLOPS local organizers. It will take 40min. by a local bus.

2. From JR Mishima Sta. To JR Shin-Sugita Sta.

   Take a train on JR Tokaido Line to get Ofuna Sta. You may have a rapid train 'Shonan Liner' or 'Acty' at Atami or Odawara Sta. in order to get Ofuna earlier. Anyway, you may have to change at Atami or Odawara Sta. to next Tokaido Line. (70-80min. from JR Mishima Sta.)

   And change at Ofuna Sta. To JR Negishi Line. Take a train for Omiya. Get off at Shin-Sugita Sta. (10min. from JR Ofuna Sta.)

3. From JR Shin-Sugita Sta.

   20min. walk from Shin-Sugita Sta. (Here is a map.)

From Tokyo Sta. (70min.)

1. To JR Shin-Sugita Sta.
